The TVBA Disaster Relief is part of a larger Disaster Relief (D.R.) effort within the Southern Baptist Convention. Each team is trained locally to respond to events such as flooding, tornado or hurricane damage, fires, etc. These teams have members trained in everything from mass cooking to mud out.

Our local team works on their skills and teamwork by being available for local projects as well as these large events listed. The team has taken up the Operation Reaching Out ministry of building handicap ramps in our Rhea County area. These ramp projects are a ministry of love and safety for the people who need them to access their homes and the outside world.
